ADHD/ADD

If ADHD makes it hard to focus, stay organized, or manage impulsivity, I’m here to help. I combine evidence-based treatment with a client-centered, whole-person philosophy. Together, we’ll create a care plan built around your history, needs, and life circumstances.

What Is ADHD

ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects how the brain regulates attention, impulsivity, and activity level. While it often begins in childhood, many people, including adults, live with ADHD and may not receive a diagnosis until later in life.

Symptoms can vary, but may include:

  • Difficulty paying attention, sustaining focus, or staying on task

  • Trouble organizing tasks, time management, and keeping track of details

  • Forgetting appointments, misplacing personal items, or losing track of daily tasks

  • Restlessness, fidgeting, feeling “on edge,” or difficulty sitting still

  • Impulsivity- acting without thinking, interrupting, or difficulty waiting

ADHD doesn’t look the same for everyone, for some, hyperactivity is prominent; for others, inattention may be the main issue.

Why a Professional Assessment Matters

Because ADHD symptoms can overlap with or mimic other conditions, such as anxiety, mood disorders, or stress-related issues, a professional evaluation is important. A thorough assessment helps clarify whether ADHD is present, or whether something else might explain the symptoms.

During an initial visit, we will review your history, behavior patterns, and daily functioning; we’ll also consider any co-occurring mental-health conditions or life stressors. From there, we’ll work together to determine whether ADHD treatment is appropriate.

How I Can Help

If diagnosed (or strongly suspected), I’ll build a personalized treatment plan because what works for one person may not work for another. Possible components include:

  • Medication management, when clinically appropriate using FDA-approved options, carefully monitored and adjusted to fit your medical history and lifestyle.

  • Lifestyle & self-care strategies, including healthy routines, sleep regulation, stress management, and practical coping tools tailored to your daily life.

  • Collaborative, ongoing care, regular follow-ups to track progress, make adjustments, and support you in building long-term strategies for productivity, wellness, and life balance.

My goal is not just to manage symptoms, but to help you develop tools that improve daily functioning, relationships, self-esteem, and overall quality of life.

Why Work With Me

  • As a trained PMHNP, I bring both clinical knowledge and a compassionate, real‐life understanding of mental-health challenges.

  • I treat you as a whole person, not just a diagnosis, considering your background, goals, and what’s going on in your life right now.

  • My approach is collaborative, transparent, and judgment-free. I value clear communication, respect for your preferences, and empowering you to be part of the decision-making process.

  • I understand how conditions like ADHD often overlap with mood disorders or anxiety  and I can help navigate those complexities in a way that honors all parts of your story.

What You Can Expect

  1. An in-depth initial evaluation, reviewing history, symptoms, day-to-day functioning, and overall mental health.

  2. A tailored treatment plan, combining medication, therapy, and practical strategies as needed.

  3. Regular follow-up and support, to monitor how you’re responding, make changes if needed, and ensure long-term growth and stability.

  4. A safe, respectful space, where you’re heard, validated, and supported as you work toward balance and mental clarity.
